The Movement
To work toward a trauma-informed Pennsylvania, we need everyone to be apart of the solution.
The Trauma-Informed PA Plan is a comprehensive roadmap that includes our governments, counties, communities, neighborhoods, businesses, and homes in working together to heal trauma.
Your story matters. Your participation, ideas, and values are valid, important, and woven into the colorful fabric of our Commonwealth. We hope you will join us as we HEAL PA.
Get Involved
There are a variety of ways that you or your organization can get involved. Which is right for you?
Become an Action Team Member
HEAL PA is comprised of a variety of subject matter and operational Action Teams. Teams meet once per month for 1-2 hours and are tasked with implementating the Trauma-Informed PA Plan through the provision of education, advocacy and resources across the Commonwealth of PA.
Become a Community Champion
Interested in being a Community Member for our work? Subscribe to the United Way of Pennsylvania- Resilient PA to receive updates on resources and events that you can utilize for yourself and share widely with your social networks. It takes a village, and we hope you will join ours.

Action Team Recruitment Procedures
A member of HEAL PA can recruit potential new members to join our work. However, all new members should be vetted by the co-chairs of the action team they wish to join, and their membership should be weighed against the needs in expertise, influence, or diversity for that team.
HEAL PA Membership Procedure:
1. The interested party submits their application via the website.
2. The co-chairs review the application and contact the interested party within 7-10 business days.
3. An interview may be held at the discretion of the co-chairs.
4. Once an applicant is approved as a new member, the co-chairs are responsible for having them added to the HEAL PA roster, having them complete the demographic spreadsheet and providing them with the HEAL PA Membership Orientation Packet
HEAL PA requires 75% attendance for all meetings to retain membership. Every member must live up to the mission, vision, values, and core principles for action and planning as laid out in the Trauma-Informed PA Plan.
