Action Teams meet monthly under the leadership of annually elected co-chairs. Co-chairs must also serve on the Leadership Team in order to make sure there is close coordination of efforts with no duplication or silos. These teams are comprised of former think tank members or candidates, state agency representatives, and other community members with knowledge or expertise that helps each team reach its goals. Co-chairs are responsible for finding ways to involve practitioners and residents impacted by each team’s purview in membership, as appropriate.
The Development Action Team takes advantage of opportunities to apply for grants or engage major donors who can move strategies in the plan forward. Serves as a support to all other action teams for their grant writing needs and should be composed of at least two to three development/grant writing professionals.
